Jas Boho Art

Biography:

Jas is an artist of Eurasian descent, born 1980 in Hamburg. She studied communication design at the HAMM “Hanseatic Academy for Marketing and Media” with a focus on illustration - free drawing - art history - photography. You graduated 2005 with "magna cum laude" as a communication designer. “Boho art” is how she describes her art. It cannot be assigned to any stylistic drawer. Her colorful paintings shine brightly, funky and unadapted; just according to their nonchalant way of life. Her polarizing works combine different techniques in mixed- Media materials, like neon acrylic, Noctilucent colors, Collagen, Metals and self-developed modeling compounds. These give your art not only a visual but also a haptic deep structure. Find rice as the basis of their modeling clay, salt, Mung beans and glass noodles are their uses. The processing of these foods can be traced back to their spiritual ancestors of the Mandaya tribe. “Honor salt, trip, Beans, Pasta; and you will be lucky, Protection from evil spirits and a long life encounter ", so the belief of their ancestors. Finally, all works are preserved with UV protection and several layers of clear lacquer.

“Inspired by my origins, past and future influences and events, I interpret my own stories in color, Motif and statement within my art. Each viewer interprets individually and consciously, subconsciously, inspired by its own story, the expressiveness of my art. It inspires me, so to reach everyone in their own way with my way”.
