Christian Autzen, born 1970 in Heidelberg, Germany, is a contemporary artist, the one in Hamburg, Germany, lives and works.

Christian Autzen experienced many artistic influences both at home and through art classes, museums and exhibitions. 1996 he did his diploma in graphic design at the art school Alsterdamm – School of Visual Arts, Hamburg, Germany, among others in the class of Lothar Walter. This was followed by a job in the media industry, among others in publishing houses and agencies.

End 2021 Christian Autzen abruptly ended his previous activity and since then he has devoted himself exclusively to painting – especially large format portrait works.

His work is characterized by a figurative and expressive imagery and a strong conceptual basis. Christian Autzen is best known for his acrylic paintings and portraits, in which he deals primarily with themes of contemporary pop culture.

Recurring concepts in his work are close-up portraits and the constant search for the iconic, unique moment in his pictures.

Christian Autzen is since 2023 in the art market and already had singles- and group shows in New York, Paris and Berlin.
